From install to the first receipt

  1. 01

    Install the plugin

    Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin → choose the ZIP → Install → Activate.

  2. 02

    Paste a test key

    WooCommerce → FiskalAPI: paste a key starting with fapi_test_, save and click “Test connection”.

  3. 03

    Test order

    Create an order and move it to “Completed” — the receipt number and QR code appear on the order.

  4. 04

    Switch to the live key

    Once you add your security element, replace the test key with the live one (fapi_live_) and start selling.

What the plugin does

  • Payment method from the order

    Card, cash on delivery or bank transfer — read from the order, never typed in.

  • Tax label per class

    Selling at two VAT rates? Assign each WooCommerce tax class its own label.

  • Shipping and fees

    They go on the receipt as separate items, and the total is reconciled to the para.

  • No duplicate receipts

    The receipt number is stored on the order; a repeated status change does not create a second receipt.

  • Receipt in the “Completed” email

    The receipt is issued before WooCommerce sends the email, so the customer gets it in that email.

  • Manual button

    “FiskalAPI: fiscalize now” in order actions, for an order that did not go through.

WooCommerce plugin questions

The plugin is free, as are the test key and help with connecting. You pay only for issued fiscal receipts, tiered from 9 to 1.5 RSD per receipt, with no subscription.

The default is “Completed”. You can also choose “Processing” or the moment payment succeeds. If you accept cash on delivery, keep “Completed”, because the receipt is issued when the courier collects, not when the order arrives.

The courier collects cash or card and does not tell the shop which. So in the settings you choose: cash, payment card or other non-cash payment. If the gateway name itself says COD by card, the plugin respects that.

Assign each WooCommerce tax class its label (for example standard = Ђ, reduced = Е). Flat-rate taxpayers need not change anything: when the field is empty, the label from your FiskalAPI account is used.

The order gets a note with the reason and is otherwise untouched. In “Order actions” choose “FiskalAPI: fiscalize now”. If the order already has a receipt number, the plugin skips it — no duplicate is created.

The plugin issues the sale receipt. A return gets a refund receipt referencing the first one — one API call. The plugin does not yet issue refunds from WooCommerce on its own, so we connect them together with you.
